The wedding weekend started with a pre-wedding party on Friday at the Riessersee Hotels Biergarten. Everyone gathered round eight in the evening for Bavarian snacks and pretzels, a draft Paulaner beer and music by a zither player. It was a casual meet and greet in an relaxed atmosphere.

The „getting ready“ took place at the hair dresser saloon Setzer in nearby Grainau and then at the Ferienhaus Waxenstein in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the residence of the couple and family for the wedding week. A VIP-shuttle collected the bridal party there, bride and groom went to the church with an Oldtimer from Merry Old England, Barry Caselton, and all the other guests were picked by a bus from Omnibus Biersack and brought to the church and back. No need for anyone to find the way, search for a parking lot and get stressed. All arrived save and in time at the catholic church Johannes der Täufer in Grainau where wedding planner assistant Franziska waited with the flowers for the bridesmaids and boutonniers for the groomsmen. The church was decorated in the morning by Passiflori Blumen Penzberg, again in the wedding colours coral, baby blue and mint, completed with babies breath and Hessian lace bows which were ordered by the bride and given to Passiflori to add it.
Back from church the bar opened on the lake terrace at Riessersee. Tables with vintage flower arrangements in coral, baby blue and mint invited to take a seat and relax in the shadow of the marquee on this hot summer day.
A coffee and tea bar with samowar, welcome drinks – Aperol Sprizz and Hugo – in summerly mason jars, finger food like pretzels, „Fleischpflanzerl“ (mini meat balls), Canapées, potato salad, „Obazda“ (marinated Camembert cheese), pretzels and sweet pastry were offered.
Meanwhile, the Seehaus restaurant was decorated for the wedding dinner. Tables were layed with cream table cloth and cloth napkins. The center pieces were white vintage birdcages filled with flower arrangements in coral, baby blue and mint: common peonies, hydrangeas, berries, lisianthus flowers and grasses. Added were the wooden table numbers which were bought by the bride and send over to the hotel in the months before the wedding.
Vintage items like Hessian table runners with lace, carved wood hearts, old books, keys and pillar candles completed the decoration. Even the seating plan was a bird cage and each table got a name from am place with a special meaning for couple on vintage cards. I loved this very much because Bamberg, the town where the couple got engaged, is my fathers home town and the Altenburg is one of my favourite places in the world.

On the head table mint green bows were added to the white chair covers and the room was even decorated with some pompoms in the weddings colour scheme mint, baby blue and coral.
Now, we watched it in details, let´s have a final look:
The cutting of the cake took place after the dinner. Made by the Kroenner bakery in Garmisch-Partenkirchen a mint green bird cage wedding cake with baby blue and coral flowers and a wooden „Just married“ cake topper which was brought from the couple and added to the cake.
Then the wedding party moved to the Riessersee Bar where we had meanwhile built up a candy bar and a photobooth and the band began to play. Dancing, drinking, having fun – that was the program for the rest of the night!
Next afternoon it was „time to say goodbye“ and I really have to say it was hard. I had so much fun during the long planning time and I will really miss the facebook chats. I hope we will be in touch and say „thank you“ for an really amazing wedding :).
