The mountain meadow above the Riessersee lake house was prepared for the ceremony with a girland and vases for the wooden flower arch, benches with white covers, a white carpet and hanging flower glasses with ribbons along the aisle. The panorama view was just stunning on this wonderful summer day in May – it was breath-taking even for us and we see it nearly every day.
The couple invited their guest to the ceremony with a chalk board and the quote: “Pick a seat either side you´re loved by both the groom and bride“. During the ceremony we brought the favor bags, filled with some nice things from the region like chocolate, Bavarian mustard, pretzels and historic picture post cards from Garmisch-Partenkirchen, to the hotel rooms.
After the ceremony the wedding reception started on the Riessersee lake terrace with a finger food buffet, Mionetto Prosecco, Hugo, Sprizz as well as barrel of Paulaner beer to be tapped by the bride and groom. Another chalk board was set up here to welcome the guests. The food was a mixture of Bavaria and Mediterranean delicacies like Caprese sticks, meat balls with potato salad, pretzels, canapées, Grissini with ham as well as some sweets.
Meanwhile the Riessersee lake house with its fantastic view to the mountains of Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Bavaria, Germany, was prepared for the wedding dinner. Little pictures frames, made by the couple, showed the guests as escort cards the way to their table. The menus (Kartenmacherei) showed again the chalk board theme.
Ginger bread hearts from the Kroenner bakery in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in soft pink – according to the berry colour scheme – were placed on each table as another welcome gift. The name of bride and groom and the wedding date were written on the hearts.
The table flowers in raspberry colours and apcricot were arranged by Passiflori in glass vases with silver wire and glass stones and some rose petals were added.
DJ Chris illuminated the whole lake house with pink lights for the party after sundown.
A special gift for the bride and groom were engraved glasses from the parents and we added them to the table set-up on the couples place.
Later in the evening the weather switched and it started raining – but the view was still impressing, just in another way…
