The party started with a gathering of the wedding guests Friday night at the lake house. Initially, the evening was planned at the hotels Biergarten but it started raining in the afternoon and so we switched the Bavarian BBQ dinner to the Kaminzimmer at the lake house.
The decoration was rustic Bavarian in blue and white, fresh herbs in paper bags, pretzels and wooden candle holders. The bride brought the cute “Bavarian heart” straws to complete the set-up for the Bavarian BBQ.
Next morning the bridal bouquet as well as the bridesmaids bouquets were delivered to the wedding venue Riessersee Hotel and brought – together with boutonnieres and flower bracelets for the groom, best men and Mums – to the “Residence” at the lake house where the getting ready took place. The colour scheme was white, green, grey, brown with slight shades of lilac and the special wish for the bouquet was something like wild flowers, nothing straight, a natural look. Here is the result from Passiflori:
For the wedding ceremony we´ve had prepared the mountain meadow with its fantastic view to lake Riessersee and the mountains of Garmisch-Partenkirchen above the lake house.
The flowers for the altar centerpiece and the flower arch were chosen according to the bridal bouquet. Some paper hearts made from music sheets – hand-crafted by the bride and her friends – were hanging along the aisle on the sides of the white carpet.
Even hand-crafted from music sheet: fans and flower cones.
After the ceremony we awaited the guests for the wedding reception on the lake terrace. Some selfie sticks for memory pictures in the window frame next to the lake were prepared by bride and groom. Best prospects…
It was a sunny afternoon in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and so the open bar with cold drinks like mint flavoured water, Sprizz, Hugo and Mionetto Prosecco were very welcome.
Finger food like canapées, pretzels, various salads, meat balls and even vegan was served on a buffet for the hungry ones during the afternoon.
Before the cutting of the cake during the wedding breakfast the wedding guests were invited to a tour over the lake with the Riessersee raft.
The wedding cake from the Kroenner bakery in Garmisch-Partenkirchen was simple white with various fillings and decorated with flowers in the wedding colours and a personalized cake topper “Mr and Mrs Cole”. It was served on a big wood slice plate.
The seating plan for the wedding dinner at the lake house of the Riessersee Hotel Resort was another hand-craft project from the bride and really fascinating: On a big wooden board milk churns with guest names found their place and between the flowers in the churns the wooden table numbers were placed. The same numbers took place on each table.
The items of the table decoration were white table cloth and napkins, folded like a pocket with the menu cards (Kartenmacherei) inside and ginger bread hearts with the guest names placed on it, Hessian table runners, wood slices, little paper hearts from music sheets, silver candelabers with green candles and beautiful flower arrangements in the wedding colours from Passiflori.
On the gift table an old suitecase found his place to collect all the cards and envelopes and next to it the photo guest book.
As mentioned before there were so many wonderful details during this wedding, the bride, groom and company were really diligent and the result was gorgeous! After the wedding dinner everybody moved with DJ Chris to the Riessersee Bar and the party started…
