When we started planning our wedding we knew that spending a ton of money and having a giant gathering wasn’t the route we wanted to go. In researching destination wedding options I came across Love Gracefully and noticed that Germany was listed as one of their locations. My now husband and I both have German roots and currently reside in Colorado, so having a small ceremony in Bavaria with a mountain backdrop sounded like an ideal setting. We decided to go with the Gold Package and added on a stylist, candle lighting, seating with covers, and taxi transport for our guests. Our wedding planner, Uschi, also served as the officiant and was amazing to work with! She ensured that the whole day went smoothly, made a great recommendation for where to eat dinner afterwards, and even reduced our final payment when it turned out that extra seating wasn’t needed for our guests. We couldn’t have asked for anything better and will always look back on our wedding with the fondest of memories!

We celebrated our wedding on September 14th at the Pflegersee. Plans A and B were in place, but this weekend we needed a plan W like winter and had to replan at very short notice due to the weather and move from the lido and terrace to the restaurant. And we can only say, thank god we had our best Uschi. Like the agreements made in advance, the “crisis discussion” on the evening before the celebration was very relaxed. Uschi showed such calm and professionalism there that our nerves were able to calm down a little. Both the terrace for the symbolic wedding ceremony and the restaurant were beautifully prepared and decorated exactly according to our wishes. Uschi really went to great lengths and added to the original plan lots of candles and fairy lights. Thank you very much again Uschi for making it such a wonderful day thanks to you.

We wanted elegant, sophisticated and romantic wedding decorations with lots of flowers and lights. We don’t even know how to begin writing this review…we just had our dream wedding in June, and it could not have happened without Uschi! We got in contact with Uschi a little over a year ago with a very vague idea of how we wanted our wedding to look like. Since the day we met, everything was smooth sailing- Uschi helped us plan through every aspect of the wedding, from venue search, to recommending vendors, to decorations/flowers/cake, to pre-wedding activities and restaurants, to hotels, to organising guests, to drawing/crafting…the list goes on forever. Despite living in different countries, Uschi made the whole process so easy. Every request/wish we had, Uschi made it happen, and came up with ideas we hadn’t even thought of. Unsere Meinnung nach ist Uschi Glas die beste Hochzeitsplanerin der Welt!  Sie hat unsere Tochter und unsere Familie bei allen Teilen der Planung einer riesigen „Destination Wedding“ mit 120 Personen in Deutschland geholfen.  Obwohl wir 7.500 Kilometer entfernt sind, fühlt es sich an, als Uschi immer bei uns wäre.  Uschi hat sich um alles gekümmert.  Sie hat uns geholfen, den perfekten Caterer, den besten Floristen, einen großartigen Fotografen zu finden, und sie hat uns sogar geholfen, ein Schloss für die Hochzeit und vier Hotels für alle unsere Gäste in einer kleinen Stadt in Deutschland zu buchen.

Wir können nur tolle Sachen sagen. Uschi ist die Beste! (Nebenbei, tut mir so leid, dass mein Deutsch nicht sehr gut ist, aber das ist auch eine tolle Sache an Uschi.  Ihr Englisch ist perfekt, und das macht alles sehr einfach fur uns.)

Wir lieben unsere Uschi! Sie ist super arrangiert, sehr zuverlässig und hat tolle Ideen. Sie setzt selbstständig Dinge in Bewegung, ohne das man nachfragen muss. Zu ihrer Lieben und offenen Art, ist sie zudem auch super organisiert und sehr ehrlich. Selbst wenn es mal ein wenig schwieriger wird, macht sie alles möglich und ändert es so um, dass es kein Problem mehr gibt. Wir haben Uschi bis jetzt nicht persönlich kennengelernt und können dass trotzdem über sie sagen, denn wir haben seit über einem halben Jahr regelmäßig Kontakt, um unsere Traumhochzeit zu planen.

Von vorne bis hinten hat alles gestimmt, unsere Planerin hatte immer und zu jeder Zeit alle Informationen parat. Sie hat uns tolle Dienstleister empfohlen, die alle einen super Job gemacht haben. An der Hochzeit selbst war sie immer da, falls Fragen aufkamen aber sie war ganz unauffällig im Hintergrund. Zu keiner Zeit hatten wir einen Grund zur Aufregung, da wir immer wussten, dass alles super organisiert ist. Jeder braucht so eine Person für seine Hochzeit!

In Matt’s speech, he said he came up with the ideas and Jennifer created the spreadsheets. They added Uschi to the mix and became MAGIC. Their week long wedding extravaganza would not have been possible without Uschi’s “ boots on the ground.” They shuttled close to 40 people from one amazing event to another. It culminated in the wedding of a lifetime; a beautiful, personal ceremony performed by Chaplain Don at the Garmisch Community Chapel, a bus ride to the Eibsee ( lake) for pictures and sightseeing, a tram ride to the top of a mountain to the reception site, Das Graseck, for a sumptuous 3 hour feast complete with more China, silverwear and glasses, than I have ever seen at a place setting. The food was fabulous and expertly plated. The champagne, Augustiner beer, wine and coffee were delivered by an attentive waitstaff. The view of the Alps was spectacular. The wedding cake was divine. As if this was not enough, the bus next took us to Bungalow 7, where we were given blue bracelets to allow us drinks, and to listen to a band Matt had selected to play music including his favorite band, Ween. This had to be the end! But no, the next day we were taken to the TOP OF THE WORLD, or at least, Germany. The Zugspitze was a site to behold and to stand on! If you want a fantasy wedding or event you can depend on the Wedding Planner, Uschi Glas.

Alles war perfekt! Die Dekoration war der Hammer! Wunderschön. Genau so habe ich mir das vorgestellt. Irgendwie fehlen mir schon wieder die Worte aber diesmal nur vor Glück! Die Location ein Traum. Ich weiß nicht, was wir ohne Euch alle gemacht hätten. Ihr seid der Wahnsinn. Ich bin froh, dass es noch solche Menschen wie Euch gibt – vielen, vielen Dank für alles!

wir wollen Dir von ganzem Herzen danken, dass Du aus unserer Hochzeit eine wahre Traumhochzeit gemacht hast. Nachdem wir besprochen hatten, was wir uns wie vorstellen, brauchten wir uns eigentlich nur noch zurücklehnen und die Vorfreude genießen, den Rest hast alles Du erledigt und als absolutes Highlight hast Du sogar das Unmögliche möglich gemacht und uns unseren Wunsch nach einer „etwas anderen“ Hochzeitstorte erfüllt. I cannot say enough about how professional Uschi is at her job. From the moment we met Uschi we knew that all our dreams for our Big Day would be met without any hesitation. If I were to plan my Wedding Day all over again I would choose Uschi as our planner. Our day was simply beautiful and so special. We travelled from Ireland (our homeplace) to get married in beautiful Bavaria. At start we had some nerves about planning a wedding abroad but thankfully we found Uschi and every step of the journey was made relaxed, informal and friendly.
