Accomodation and Getting Ready at Hotel Obermühle

The wedding guests arrived in Garmisch-Partenkirchen a few days before and stayed at the charming Hotel Obermühle, surrounded by mountain views and calm autumn light. From the very beginning, our focus was on creating a seamless experience – which included organizing the surrounding events like welcome dinner, excursions, rehearsal and shuttle services for the wedding day. While the bridal party enjoyed a relaxed and joyful getting ready with the amazing Aneta Lehotska (thank you for the pictures!) anticipation grew for a day that would be both – emotional and beautifully curated.

A romantic church ceremony in Garmisch-Partenkirchen

After getting ready, guests were shuttled to the protestant Johanneskirche in Garmisch-Partenkirchen for the church ceremony. The atmosphere inside the church was nothing short of magical. Endless flowers, shimmering candles – but one of the most memorable elements was the Streichholz string music, filling the space with a soft, almost poetic sound. The ceremony felt deeply personal, elegant and romantic – timeless rather than traditional. The wedding color palette reflected this refined approach: white and green with gentle blush tones, complemented by subtle blue accents as a modern interpretation of “something blue.”

Thoughtful details and favors after the ceremony

Following the ceremony, guests were surprised with small gondola-inspired goodie bags – filled with lovingly selected essentials, treats, schnapps and chewing gum and the gondola tickets. These details were not only practical but added a touch of charm and personality, perfectly setting the tone for what was yet to come.

The journey continued with the Wankbahn cable car taking everyone up to the „sun mountain“ of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Sadly to say, the mountain chose not to live up to its sunny name that day. Thick clouds surrounded the summit and visibility was close to zero. Yet this unexpected weather did nothing to dampen the mood – quite the opposite. The fog created an intimate, almost cinematic atmosphere that made the celebration feel even more exclusive.

A Bavarian welcome with a luxurious twist

The cocktail hour began with traditional alp horn players, accompanied by fresh pretzels, cocktails and beer – a warm and authentic welcome with a polished touch. Afterwards, guests enjoyed a delicious dinner that brought everyone together before the celebration truly began.

Elegant alpine design and candlelight magic

Guests were welcomed by a breathtaking setup: lush floral arrangements, abundant greenery, countless candles and a carefully curated tablescape that proved once again that mountain weddings can be both sophisticated and luxurious. As place cards and wedding favors, guests found delicate gingerbread hearts, a nod to Bavarian tradition – interpreted in a subtle and elegant way. This was the perfect example of how alpine elements can be elevated into a modern, refined design concept.

A wedding night to remember…

With everyone well fed and in high spirits after some emotional speeches, the party officially started. DJ Chris delivered – once more – an unforgettable night on the dance floor: full of energy, laughter and unforgettable moments. When midnight arrived, no one was ready to leave. And then came the perfect finale: During the gondola ride back down, the clouds finally lifted, revealing a stunning nighttime view over Garmisch-Partenkirchen. A quiet, magical moment that felt like a reward for an already extraordinary day.
